Jim posted some pictures of Luke's birthday party. It was so fun, even for me! Luke often tells me he wants to be a chef when he grows up (although his first dish shall be "chicken with salt"), so I thought a chef-themed party would be appropriate. Easy, right? That was the plan. I made pizza dough and the kids started off kneading their own wad of dough and putting on toppings (including cute miniature pepperoni). While their pizzas were cooking, they decorated individual cakes by piping buttercream through Ziploc baggies and cutting shapes out of colored fondant. They turned out so cute! We sang to Luke and ate a larger cake so the kids could take their little ones home. The kids all had fun, and I enjoyed having them there. While I cleaned up the lovely mess, everyone headed upstairs to Luke and Tag's room for a dance party with their fabulous light that was synced up to some music on Jim's ipod (The light was Jim's idea for their birthday gift. Have I ever mentioned what an amazing gifter my husband is? Endlessly creative). Good times!
