So what's been going on with me lately? The weather suddenly turned chilly so we haven't been taking as many long walks. The last few walks we took were pretty interesting. A homeless man asked if he could hitch a ride on my double stroller (like I wasn't hauling enough weight with all the boys -- how inconsiderate!). Another guy asked if Tag and Wesley were twins (because SOMEtimes twins are born years apart).
We've tried out the zoo (which is GREAT, and so close). My new favorite park is Penn Treaty Park which is right on the water and has a great view of the Ben Franklin Bridge (never mind that we left earlier than we wanted to because I smelled pot and couldn't figure out where it was coming from). On Thursday we're going trick-or-treating at the aquarium! I love that there are a million fun things to do here.
My biggest news is that I finally finished painting the bathrooms in our house. I especially love the master bathroom. I'll post pictures when things are put together. I love having a house to make my own!
Luke is really growing up fast. He is smart as a whip, and uses it against us sometimes. The other night after we put him to bed, Jim was in his room and Luke asked him to get him a snack. I don't let my kids have snacks after I've brushed their teeth, but Jim is often a softy in this area. But he was supporting me and told Luke no. Luke asked again, and Jim said, "I think mommy is down in the kitchen and she wouldn't be very happy if I brought you food." Luke said, "Daddy, just go downstairs, don't say ANYthing to mommy, and bring me a snack." What on earth?? We decided we needed to have a family home evening lesson about honesty in the very near future. For the record, he did not get food that night.
Tag is starting to say tons of words. He puts two together and it's pretty easy to figure out what he's trying to say. Last night we were at Ikea, and Tag started saying, "Luke! Mon!" That translates to, "Luke! Come on!" which I was saying over and over because Luke kept lagging behind me and touching everything in the store. My favorite things Tag says are "Luboo" which is "love you", and "thank you" which he uses at least 50 times a day. He is an extremely polite child. It's also hilarious when he calls Jim "Jim" instead of daddy. I think he picked that up from Luke, who does it quite often. Oh, and he puts his arms out to me and says, "Hug!". I love that.
Wes is the sweetest thing. He still sleeps most of the time, but his awake times are more fun. He's super smiley (especially for Jim). He is definitely the chubbiest of all my babies. He's totally squishy and round and it's so YUMMY! I just loving having an infant again. Despite the lack of sleep, I feel great and am soaking up this time because it passes so quickly!

Luke's first birthday party! I know he turned FOUR (unbelievable), but I've never had a party for him. Luke and his friends had a great time decorating sugar cookies and pumping themselves full of sugar right before dinner time! Thanks to Holly Dart for the cookie recipe. They were delicious!
