Continental Distilling Corp., Linfield, PA

Steven joined me for a trip to Linfield for a bit of exploring.  From what we observed, operations here ceased around 1975.

that's some old relish and mustard.  you don't even want to know the condition of what's in those brown lunch bags.

I Ran Ragnar

This past weekend, I ran in a 198-mile relay called Ragnar.  My team of 12 ran from Cumberland, Maryland, to Washington D.C. in about 31 hours.  I personally ran 19.5 miles (split up into 3 legs of 7.3, 7.4, and 4.8 miles), averaging about 8.5 minutes per mile.  If you asked me on Saturday afternoon if I would ever do it again, I would have told you "No way."  Running uphill, through the night, and on 1 hour of sleep, I felt pretty wretched when I crossed that finish line.  Now I'm catching up on sleep, and feeling a strong sense of accomplishment!  I'm amazed that my body was able to work so hard!  I loved my team.  We supported and cheered each other on, and had fun in the process.  The scenery along the way was beautiful.  I was the last runner, so running in D.C. was exciting and reminded me of my runs in downtown Philly.

8 month babies

I haven't done these comparisons since Emmett came along. I like seeing how these boys are similar (and different).

The Happiest Celebration on Earth

Last time we went to Disney World, we had 2 little boys, and they looked like this:

We're going again in just over a week. It will be a surprise for our boys, and I am so excited I can hardly stand it!

Little Boys

Wes likes to go with me to walk Luke to school, and he usually looks something like this: too-small pajamas buttoned askew, too-small sandals on the wrong feet, cape. He runs pumping his arms like Rocky because he wants to "run a race" with mommy. I love little boys.

Take two: "Wes, put your tongue in your mouth."
