Sick ones

ALL of my boys have been sick this week. Luke got the cold first and passed it along, but it somehow progressed differently in each of them because he was the last of the three to get an ear infection. My magic potion for ear infections failed me for the first time ever, and we had to resort to antiobiotics. I even had to make a chart to keep track of the medicine I was giving them, what time, and how much. Poor little guys! They are consoled by the fact that we get to go to Grandma and Grandpa Taggart's house this weekend!
Luke was looking particularly cute on Sunday despite sickness. I have never seen such a beautiful little boy, and I'm allowed to say that because I'm his mother. Those eyelashes, those lips...I hope he never knows how handsome he is. If he takes after my side of the family, glasses and braces should keep him humble through middle school.

Clearing things up

Some of you were confused about Jim's last post. Friday the 13th was my twenty-stinking-NINTH birthday and Jim and I wanted to do something different to celebrate. He found this "Zombie Make-up Workshop" on philly.com, so we gave it a try. It was SO fun. A professional theatrical make-up artist did a short tutorial, then let us get to work transforming ourselves into creatures risen from the dead. Jim did my make-up and I did his (I know, I should have covered his neck). We learned some neat tricks! We decided to skip the "Bar Crawl" afterward; the other zombies went drinking together. Instead, we went home to scare the aging babysitter, who had no idea where we'd headed! Sadly, she just thought it was funny.
