Jerusalem

I had the most amazing time visiting my sweet cousin Melyn in Jerusalem! This is one of my favorite pictures, overlooking the Mount of Olives. Details to come (I just know you want them).

Guessing Game

Can anyone guess where I just went?

I am completely and utterly spoiled.

A week of 70-degree weather with these lovebirds...

Having fun with one of my most favoritest people in the whole world! Can you figure it out?

Camping at Hickory Run

A few weeks ago, Jim took the oldest two boys camping for a night. They had a great time, and I enjoyed a quiet evening with Wes. It's weird how tending to only one child seems so easy now.

Jim and the boys had oodles of fun, despite the fact that they forgot to pack flashlights, and couldn't find a store that sold fuel for the lantern. Jim was using the car headlights to see with while he set up camp, and the battery died. No ranger was on duty, so he had to call 911 and was connected to a garage which sent someone out to jump-start the van. After that though, it was smooth sailing! Luke's favorite part was "sleeping in the tent".

This picture definitely says, "Mom is not here".

Luke lighting matches. This picture also says, "Mom is not here".

Don't believe their faces for a second. They loved it!

Pretty Little Girl

In the last 2 weeks, I've had about 5 people tell me how cute my baby girl is (one today inspired this post). Isn't that sweet? Too bad I don't have a baby girl. I'll just assume Wes is a pretty baby and take it as a compliment.

In other news...

I can't do a birthday post (see previous) and neglect my bro Nick, whose birthday is tomorrow. I hope none of my other family members get offended that I haven't given them birthday tributes in this the year 2009. I have no excuses. Anyhoo, here's a totally candid picture of Nick. Happy birthday!
